Membership to GBJJ and use of the GBJJ digital infrastructure is served in partnership with BMABA Group. Use of GBJJ's membership services require that you follow all GBJJ national guidelines, through which any compulsory BMABA regulations will be conveyed.

• > If appropriate, you must hold a valid and acceptable DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check (or equivalent) conducted to the appropriate level.


• > You must have suitable first aid training and, if required, be able to demonstrate proof of this training


• > You must follow association guidelines and regulations in relation to conduct, standards and eligibility criteria. There will be certain regulations, conditions or conditions based upon the professional elements we would expect all members to hold – for example, we may require you to undertake a specific risk assessment if your style includes sparring, or we may issue guidance on instructor to student ratios etc. Any association or insurance specific regulations / requirements will be clearly visible from the member’s area once you’re signed up. As a GBJJ member, you must follow GBJJ guidelines and regulations as BMABA work with GBJJ to enforce cover requirements. This is done to ensure you are as best protected as possible by your cover.


• > You must be able to agree to our association's terms and conditions, and those of GBJJ, both of which are viewable online.


• > You must ensure that suitable safety equipment is used at all times during lessons, classes and events and a fire risk assessment must be conducted on all premises used for lessons/events and fire evacuation procedures made clear. There must always be a qualified, DBS checked (where required), first aid trained instructor in the club at all times.
