Safeguarding is non-negotiable.
At BMABA, safeguarding isn’t an optional extra — it’s the foundation of everything we do. As an award-winning national association for independent martial arts, we uphold some of the strictest safeguarding protocols in the sector. Every BMABA-registered club is required to meet rigorous standards around child protection, DBS checks, safeguarding qualifications, and safe practice — and we regularly audit compliance through our Regulation Ready framework.
We maintain a dedicated, independent safeguarding system to handle concerns or reports from the public, parents, or professionals. Our safeguarding infrastructure is led by qualified professionals, and backed by national oversight, ensuring that every concern is handled seriously, confidentially, and with integrity.
BMABA is proud to be a sector leader in martial arts safeguarding — and we’re committed to ensuring that every student, parent, carer, and club member can train in an environment that is safe, respectful, and accountable.
