Every BMABA member gets licensed access to our crest, wordmark and membership marks, in high resolution, free to use on your website, your mats, your kit, your certificates and your paperwork. They exist so a parent standing in a doorway can tell in two seconds that your club answers to a national body.
Anyone can print a certificate and call themselves an instructor. Almost nobody outside martial arts can tell the difference, which is precisely why a recognisable mark matters. It is not decoration and it is not a badge of vanity. It is the shortest available answer to the question who holds this club to account.
The marks you can use
Two sets sit in the members’ hub. Static logos are our official trademarked marks, permissive in use on literature, websites and documents to show your membership. Membership marks are pre-assembled versions that state your registration outright, and you should always pick the one matching your own registration or licensing basis.

Special programme and licencing marks
Membership marks say you belong. These say you were assessed. They are released to clubs only once specific conditions are met, and several are generated dynamically from your own live data rather than downloaded as a static file, so a mark cannot outlive the standard behind it.
Organisations such as the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association support unaffiliated martial arts providers to adopt the safeguarding code. Providers with recognition under the code can display a logo on their promotional materials to show participants that their safety measures have been vetted.

Using them properly
A mark only means something if it means the same thing everywhere it appears. Four things we ask of every member.
Never imply an endorsement we have not given
The marks show that your club is a member and is accountable to us. They must not be placed in a way that could unfairly or misleadingly suggest we have specifically endorsed a particular class, business or programme.
The marks are trademarked and stay ours
Every mark we supply is fully trademarked and legally owned by BMABA. Your membership grants you permission to display them, not ownership of them.
Use the mark that matches your basis
Pre-assembled membership marks state a specific registration or licencing basis. Please use the one that reflects yours, and only display programme marks your club has actually been awarded.
Fourteen days if you leave us
If you leave BMABA, your membership expires or you are removed, all logos and accreditation marks must come down in full within fourteen days, from literature, print, graphics, websites and any other medium.

Credibility cuts both ways. These are the things you won’t hear us say, because they wouldn’t be true.
- We are not a Sport England-recognised National Governing Body, and we don't pretend to be. As a multi-style organisation we're broadly ineligible, and we're honest about what NGB recognition does and doesn't mean.
- Our Cyber Essentials certification is the standard tier. We don't claim Cyber Essentials Plus, and we won't until we hold it.
- We're a CIMSPA Training Provider Partner. Individual courses are submitted for formal CIMSPA endorsement and we confirm endorsed status course by course, never wholesale.
- Every award we display was genuinely entered, judged and awarded. Finalist means finalist, winner means winner, and we label each one accordingly.

The Sport England-approved national safeguarding standard. We hold organisational certification and are the only independent martial arts body authorised to issue SCiMA certification to clubs in-house, through our free Club Colours programme.
