We’re hugely privileged to have a superb, skilled team behind the scenes at BMABA. Whilst not everyone is a martial artist, they are the best in class at what they do.

Unlike just about all of our competitions, we have real dedicated staff in our offices to help support our members.

Giovanni Soffietto

FOUNDER & CEO

Giovanni is the award winning social entrepreneur behind both the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) and the Fighting Chance Charitable Foundation. Born into a life of poverty and starting the association with just £20 of capital, he is a living example of how martial arts can offer the opportunity to break free of poverty.

Giovanni has more than two decades of experience in martial arts as a participant, instructor and fighter. He’s also a tenacious (and now award winning) social entrepreneur, having established the BMABA along with a collection of other social enterprises. 

Highly motivated and exceptionally gifted at rapidly scaling sustainable organisations, he’s the driving force behind BMABA,
