Your website sits on it. Your email runs through it. Every poster, every business card, every social profile points at it. And yet it is usually the thing clubs think about least, sitting on an account nobody can log into, registered by somebody who left the club in 2019, quietly auto-renewing on a card that expired.

DNS is where most people give up. Ours has presets for the services you are most likely to be pointing at, so you choose the service and we write the records.
Two things clubs ask us constantly, answered plainly.
You do not need to transfer anything to use our services. If your domain sits with another registrar and you want to use our webmail, our hosting or our site builder, you simply change a few DNS settings where the domain currently lives.
We will give you the exact records to enter and walk you through it if you would rather not do it alone. Plenty of members run this way permanently, and that is completely fine by us.
Ask us for the recordsThe domain belongs to your club. If you decide you would rather hold it with another registrar, you are welcome to move it, and we will not make it difficult. There is a £25 transfer-out fee to cover the administration, and that is the whole of it.
Equally, if you would simply rather we looked after it so it is one less thing to track, we can transfer it in for you and manage it from there.
Talk to the teamYou do not need a new domain to take advantage of any of this. If you already own one and would simply rather it lived somewhere sensible, we will handle the transfer from your current registrar and look after it from there.
Domain transfers are the part of this that most often goes wrong, and the reason is almost always the same. When a domain moves between registrars, the DNS records frequently do not travel with it. The domain lands at its new home with an empty or default zone, and for a few hours or a few days the website is down, the email stops arriving, and nobody realises until a parent mentions it.
So we do it as a managed transfer. Before the domain moves, we read your existing DNS configuration and build it as a template on our side, ready and waiting. The moment the transfer completes and the domain lands with us, that template is applied automatically. Your records are already in place, so there is no window where the zone is empty. In practice that means no downtime and no loss of service, on a process that catches a great many clubs out.
After that, renewals, security, infrastructure settings and support are all ours to worry about, while the DNS and domain controls stay yours inside MyBMABA.
And if you would rather leave your domain exactly where it is and simply point it at us, that remains completely fine. Nothing on this page is a requirement.
Nobody opened a martial arts club because they wanted to learn about nameservers. You can arrive here understanding none of this, and that is genuinely fine.

If your website or email falls over somewhere we do not host, come to us anyway. We cannot offer a guaranteed recovery service for infrastructure we do not control, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we will look at it, tell you honestly what has happened, and help you get things back together as quickly as we can.
When DNS goes down, everything goes with it. Your website disappears, your email stops arriving, and enquiries from prospective students vanish without anyone telling you. It is the single least glamorous and most consequential piece of the stack.
So we run ours on Cloudflare, one of the largest networks in the world, rather than on whatever came bundled with a hosting account. That means global anycast resolution answering queries from the closest of hundreds of locations, DDoS protection at network level, and monitoring that flags a problem before a member has to report one.
