We host it, secure it and maintain it. Already have a site somewhere else? Our developers migrate it for free, from any platform, with no downtime.

Already have a website? We will move it for you, free.
Our own in-house developers will transfer your existing club website from any platform, at no cost, as part of membership. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Weebly, another WordPress host, or something a member of your club built years ago and no longer maintains.
And we will build it twice if you want us to. Our developers can produce a mock-up in both systems, WordPress and Flo, so you can look at the front end exactly as a prospective student would, then log into each back end and decide which one you actually prefer working in. No commitment either way, and nothing to pay whichever you choose.
Clubs coming to us are typically paying a website builder subscription, a separate hosting bill, a domain renewal, plugin licences and a designer’s hourly rate whenever something needs changing. All of that can be cancelled. For a great many clubs, the saving on those alone covers the entire cost of membership, and then some, before a single other benefit is counted.
Stop running your club from a personal inbox
MailbyBMABA gives your club proper branded email on your own domain, with a full webmail client and IMAP if you would rather use Outlook or Apple Mail. Broadcast handles the class-wide messages. Both are ours, both are included.
Why ours is different from the software you have been sold before
Most club software is a commercial product looking for margin. Ours is infrastructure paid for by a not-for-profit, and the difference shows up in the places that usually hurt.
The platform, the site builder, the email system and the compliance dashboards are all our own code, written in-house. When something needs changing, we change it, rather than logging a ticket with a vendor.
BMABA CIC is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022 under UKAS accreditation, and holds Cyber Essentials. Information security is externally audited, not self-declared.
No per-student pricing, no feature gates, no annual creep. The asset lock on our CIC status means income is reinvested, so growth funds better tools rather than a dividend.
Support comes from our own full-time team in the UK, who know both the software and martial arts. Not an outsourced desk reading from a script.
Including the things nobody else in the sector is doing yet
The money side, handled without the awkward conversations.
Recurring subscriptions, one-off payments, invoicing, grading fees, seminar tickets and the whole grim business of chasing a payment that did not go through. It runs from the same platform as your registers, so a lapsed payment is visible next to the student it belongs to rather than buried in a separate app you check monthly.
No per-student pricing, no transaction surcharge from us, and no commission on your income. We are a not-for-profit, so your billing is not our revenue stream. And because every tool orbits the same student record, a payment, a register mark, a grade and a safeguarding note all belong to the same person rather than four different systems.
Membership is designed to pay for itself
The tools are the visible part. The reason we can give a club forty of them is that BMABA is a Community Interest Company with an asset lock, so income funds the next tool rather than a dividend. Set against what a club typically pays out separately, membership is built to land close to cost neutral.
And the parts that are not software at all
Technology is the loudest thing we do. It is not the most important.

BMABA CIC has been recognised at the highest levels of Government for our commitment to safeguarding in martial arts. During a House of Commons debate on combat sport safety, the Minister for Sport, Stephanie Peacock MP, highlighted the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association by name for our work in supporting independent and unaffiliated clubs to adopt the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts. This direct mention in Parliament demonstrates that our efforts to raise standards and protect participants are shaping the national conversation on safety in combat sports.
Following that debate, the Minister for Sport wrote formally to commend BMABA’s work, praising our role in raising safeguarding standards across the independent martial arts sector. She described our contribution as “extremely useful” to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s ongoing policy development, and thanked us for our ongoing efforts to make martial arts safer for children. This recognition reflects the trust placed in BMABA to help Government address urgent safeguarding challenges highlighted by recent tragedies within combat sports.
For our members and the wider martial arts community, this recognition underlines BMABA’s credibility as a leading voice for independent martial arts in the UK. It demonstrates that our grassroots-driven mission, to promote safe, inclusive, and properly governed martial arts for all, is influencing national policy and gaining ministerial support. Being referenced in Parliament and commended in writing by the Minister for Sport reinforces that BMABA is not just a governing body, but a sector-shaping organisation working to protect participants and secure the future of martial arts.
